Fuselage

Back Home

Building the Fuselage posed no great challenge. I mounted the rudder peddles a bit forward to accommodate my long legs. I added double the support called for in the seat mounting area and added angle aluminum as support under the seat. A frame was made under the control mixer and a 10 inch square lexan window installed so as to view from the bottom the control system. I think I would add more stringers and bump them out a bit on the sides to give a more rounded look if I had thought of it.

Making laminates for the Instrument panel

Making the door

Waiting for the first ride!

I added the head rest, looks more proportional.

Back of front seat. I installed a stick in the front but no rudder peddles, just not enough room

Motor mount mounting blocks, I hope they hold!

The stringers just give the Fuse a more rounded look. I wish I made them bigger so as to give the fuse even more round shape.

I wish I bulked this aera up more. This is where all the landing gear forces are taken

Gas tank install wrong. I had to flip it so the filler neck is for most. Glad I caught it now and not after finish!!

The Fuselage was quite easy to build and fun too!

Comm antenna and wing tank caps. I made positive pressure vent tubes. The fuel flows great into the main tank in flight when the valve is turned on.

GPS antenna

I made this lexan inspection window, I like it for preflight inspections.
