Gear

After building the landing gear that came with the kit I chose to scrap it and install the “GROVE” one piece landing gear. I modified the bottom and sides of the fuselage to accept the mounting blocks. This system is very “Clean Looking” in my opinion, especially with the gun drilled brake lines. The brakes are from Matco.

Gun Drilled Lines...COOL!

One spring did not hold up, I doubled it, this is working great now.

Here is a weak point!! The bolts were pulling through the longeron. I made Alu backing strips. You will need to beef this area up!! Zoom in and see.

Mounting block from Matco

The gear was gun drilled for the brake lines. The SS line is from the Harley shop.

New larger tires, I think they look better and they feel so much smoother landing on them.

The new "Monster" tires from Desser will hold up better to the wear from the spring gear. The new tires added 12 Lbs to the airframe.

Cool tail wheel tug, very nice and easy to use.

The Carlisle tires that came with the kit wore out in less than 20 hours, soft rubber golf cart tires as it turns out, they are junk for AC use!

Matco 6’ Pneumatic tail wheel, absolutely the best “little” improvement I made on my Celebrity!!!

Trust Me....You want one of these!!!
